At our school, we had a super cool week all about learning from different places! We had a special time swapping stories and traditions with students from Jordan. It was awesome because we got to make new friends and learn about their lives too!
En nuestro cole, ¡tuvimos una semana súper genial dedicada a aprender sobre diferentes lugares! Pasamos un tiempo muy especial intercambiando historias y tradiciones con estudiantes de Jordania. ¡Fue increíble porque hicimos nuevos amigos y aprendimos sobre sus vidas también!
During the week, we all got to dive into the cultures of Scotland and Normandy. We did lots of fun stuff like making Loch Ness Monsters and designing colourful Scottish skirts, “KILTS”. We also pretended to plan trips to Scotland’s famous spots and learned about Normandy’s facts and flags.
Durante la semana, todos pudimos sumergirnos en las culturas de Escocia y Normandía. Hicimos un montón de cosas divertidas, como hacer monstruos del Loch Ness y diseñar faldas escocesas coloridas, “KILTS”. También fingimos planificar viajes a los lugares famosos de Escocia y aprendimos datos importantes junto con la bandera de Normandía.
In our English classes, we made cool brochures about Scotland and imagined going on trips there. Then, in French class, we found out cool stuff about Normandy, like how many people live there and what they like eating.
En nuestras clases de inglés, hicimos folletos geniales sobre Escocia e imaginamos viajar allí. Luego, en la clase de francés, descubrimos cosas interesantes sobre Normandía, como cuántas personas viven allí y qué les gusta comer.
Getting letters and hearing recordings from Duncan, our Scottish friend, made our week even better! We loved hearing about Duncan’s life and seeing pictures from his country. It was like going on a mini adventure without leaving school! We even heared his real voice! Can you believe this?
¡Recibir cartas y escuchar grabaciones de Duncan, nuestro amigo escocés, hizo que nuestra semana fuera aún mejor! Nos encantó escuchar sobre la vida de Duncan y ver imágenes de su país. ¡Fue como embarcarnos en una mini aventura sin salir de la escuela! ¡Incluso escuchamos su voz real! ¿Puedes creerlo?
By the end of the week, we all felt like little explorers! We learned that even though we’re far apart, we’re all connected in special ways. Languages Week showed us how fun it is to learn about different cultures and make new friends from around the world.
Al final de la semana, todos nos sentimos como pequeños exploradores. Aprendimos que aunque estemos lejos, todos estamos conectados de maneras especiales. La Semana de los Idiomas nos mostró lo divertido que es aprender sobre diferentes culturas y hacer nuevos amigos de todo el mundo.
We can’t wait for more adventures like this at our school!
