El pasado 13 y 14 de febrero los alumnos de 1º de Laboratorio de Análisis y Control de Calidad (LACC) celebraron el Día Internacional de la Mujer y la Niña en la Ciencia con una actividad muy especial. Para conmemorar esta fecha, recibieron en los laboratorios del instituto a un grupo de estudiantes de primaria y organizaron una serie de experimentos y actividades divulgativas con el objetivo de despertar su interés por la ciencia.
On February 13 and 14, the students of the 1st year of the Laboratory of Analysis and Quality Control (LACC) celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science with a very special activity. To commemorate this date, they welcomed a group of primary school students to the institute’s laboratories and organized a series of experiments and informative activities with the aim of awakening their interest in science.
A lo largo de la jornada, los pequeños científicos pudieron participar en diferentes experimentos diseñados y guiados por los alumnos de LACC. Entre las actividades destacaron la observación de reacciones químicas sorprendentes, la elaboración de volcanes y la visualización de artrópodos mediante lupas y microscopios, permitiéndoles conocer de cerca la diversidad del mundo natural.
Throughout the day, the young scientists were able to participate in different experiments designed and guided by LACC students. Among the activities were the observation of surprising chemical reactions, the making of volcanoes and the visualization of arthropods using magnifying glasses and microscopes, allowing them to learn about the diversity of the natural world.
Esta iniciativa no solo fomentó la curiosidad científica en los más jóvenes, sino que también permitió a los alumnos de FP desarrollar habilidades de comunicación y divulgación. Desde el instituto, valoramos enormemente este tipo de encuentros que acercan la ciencia a las nuevas generaciones y promueven el papel fundamental de las mujeres en la investigación y la innovación.
This initiative not only fostered scientific curiosity in the youngest students, but also allowed the VET students to develop communication and outreach skills. From the institute, we highly value this type of meetings that bring science closer to the new generations and promote the fundamental role of women in research and innovation.
