Last week was especially exciting for our 1st and 2nd graders. They finally got to meet their 6th grade mentors! Those older classmates who will go hand in hand with them throughout the school year in different activities and important moments.
Esta semana ha sido especialmente emocionante para nuestros alumnos de 1º y 2º de Primaria. ¡Por fin han podido conocer a sus mentorías de 6º! Esos compañeros mayores que les acompañarán a lo largo del curso en distintas actividades y momentos importantes.
For this first meeting, we organized a short interview in pairs, where students introduced themselves, talked about their likes, hobbies, and other curiosities, and discovered what they have in common. It was wonderful to see how the older students guided the conversation with patience, while the younger ones felt listened and supported.
Para este primer encuentro organizamos una pequeña entrevista por parejas, en la que los mayores y los pequeños se presentaron, hablaron de sus gustos, aficiones y otras curiosidades, y descubrieron puntos en común. Fue precioso ver cómo los mayores guiaban la conversación con paciencia y cómo los más pequeños se sentían escuchados y acompañados.
This week, celebrating Thanksgiving this week, the entire Primary school participated in an activity focused on good manners and gratitude. Through small games and everyday situations, we reflected on the importance of saying “please,” “thank you,” “sorry,” and showing respect in our daily interactions. Students shared things they are grateful for and practiced expressing those feelings kindly.
Además, aprovechando la celebración de Thanksgiving, en toda la etapa de Primaria trabajamos una dinámica centrada en los buenos modales y el agradecimiento. A través de pequeños juegos y situaciones cotidianas, reflexionamos sobre la importancia de decir “por favor”, “gracias”, “perdón” y de mostrar respeto en nuestras interacciones diarias. Los alumnos compartieron cosas por las que se sienten agradecidos y practicaron cómo expresar esos sentimientos de manera amable.
