Last week we experienced a day that will stay in our students’ hearts. We were lucky to welcome at school the author of the book “¿Recuerdas?”, a touching story about a grandfather with Alzheimer’s who slowly recovers important moments from his life thanks to the love and patience of his granddaughter.
La semana pasada vivimos una jornada que quedará guardada en el corazón de nuestro alumnado. Tuvimos la suerte de recibir en el colegio a la autora del libro “¿Recuerdas?”, una historia entrañable que narra cómo un abuelo con Alzheimer va recuperando momentos importantes de su vida gracias al cariño y la paciencia de su nieta.
The most wonderful part of the day was that grandparents came to school to take part in the event as well! Everyone helped create an atmosphere full of emotion and tenderness. While the author read fragments of the book and explained how the story was born, grandparents shared looks, smiles and small memories with their grandchildren.
Lo más bonito del día fue que los abuelos y las abuelas vinieron al cole para participar en el acto.. Entre todos creamos un ambiente lleno de emoción y ternura. Mientras la autora leía fragmentos del libro y contaba cómo nació la historia, los abuelos compartían miradas, sonrisas y pequeños recuerdos con sus nietos y nietas.
It was a beautiful experience that highlighted the importance of caring for the bonds between generations and learning from those who have so many memories to share with us.
Fue una experiencia preciosa que puso en valor la importancia de cuidar los vínculos entre generaciones y aprender de quienes tienen tantos recuerdos para contarnos.
