This Monday, our Secondary students left the classrooms behind and headed out into nature for a very special day together! Our Nature and Team-Building Day was the perfect chance to take a break from the usual school routine, enjoy the great outdoors and spend some quality time together in a more relaxed setting.
Este lunes, nuestros alumnos de Secundaria dejaron las aulas atrás y salieron a disfrutar de la naturaleza en un día muy especial juntos. ¡Nuestra Jornada de Convivencia en la Naturaleza fue la ocasión perfecta para hacer una pausa en la rutina habitual del colegio, disfrutar del aire libre y compartir un día juntos en un ambiente más relajado!
Each year group had its own route, and all the groups set off from school ready for a day of walking, chatting and exploring. The 1st-year students headed towards Buitrago, while the 2nd-year students made their way to El Cuadrón. The 3rd-year students walked towards Gascones and Braojos, and our 4th-year students followed the route to the Palacio de los Duques de Osuna. Different destinations, different routes, but one shared goal: enjoying the day together.
Cada curso tuvo su propia ruta y todos los grupos salieron del colegio preparados para disfrutar de un día de caminatas, conversaciones y descubrimientos. Los alumnos de 1º se dirigieron hacia Buitrago, mientras que los de 2º hicieron su ruta hasta El Cuadrón. Los de 3º caminaron hacia Gascones y Braojos, y nuestros alumnos de 4º siguieron la ruta hasta el Palacio de los Duques de Osuna. Destinos diferentes, rutas diferentes, pero un mismo objetivo: disfrutar juntos del día.
Of course, the routes were only part of the experience. What really made the day special was having time to connect with classmates outside the classroom. With no lessons or usual school schedules to worry about, students could simply enjoy each other’s company, have a chat, share a laugh and get to know one another a little better.
Por supuesto, las rutas fueron solo una parte de la experiencia. Lo que realmente hizo especial la jornada fue poder compartir tiempo con los compañeros fuera del aula. Sin clases ni horarios habituales de los que preocuparse, los alumnos pudieron simplemente disfrutar de la compañía, charlar, reírse y conocerse un poquito mejor.
Spending time together in such a different environment gave everyone the chance to relax and enjoy a slower pace. Walking through the countryside, discovering new places and sharing the journey with friends and teachers created plenty of moments to remember. Days like this remind us that some of the best learning experiences happen when we step outside the classroom and simply enjoy being together.
Pasar tiempo juntos en un entorno tan diferente permitió a todos relajarse y disfrutar de un ritmo más tranquilo. Caminar por el campo, descubrir nuevos lugares y compartir el camino con amigos y profesores nos dejó muchos momentos para recordar. Días como este nos recuerdan que algunas de las mejores experiencias de aprendizaje suceden cuando salimos del aula y, simplemente, disfrutamos de estar juntos.
By the end of the day, everyone had plenty of kilometres under their belts, but also plenty of smiles and stories to take back to school. It was a great way to start the year, strengthen friendships and build a stronger sense of community across Secondary. We are already looking forward to our next adventure together!
Al final del día, todos llevábamos unos cuantos kilómetros a nuestras espaldas, pero también muchas sonrisas y anécdotas que llevarnos de vuelta al colegio. Fue una estupenda manera de comenzar el curso, fortalecer las amistades y crear un mayor sentimiento de comunidad entre todos los alumnos de Secundaria. ¡Ya estamos deseando vivir nuestra próxima aventura juntos!
