HACKATON DE EMPRENDIMIENTO (DAW)

Ayer, nuestros alumnos del ciclo de Desarrollo de Aplicaciones Web (DAW) participaron en el II Hackatón de Emprendimiento de Formación Profesional, celebrado en el CMICE de Nuevas Tecnologías, en Getafe. Una jornada completa de aprendizaje, creatividad y trabajo en equipo que les permitió acercarse al mundo del emprendimiento desde una perspectiva práctica.

Yesterday, our students from the Web Application Development (DAW) programme took part in the 2nd Vocational Education and Training Entrepreneurship Hackathon, held at the CMICE New Technologies Centre in Getafe. It was a full day of learning, creativity and teamwork, giving them the opportunity to explore the world of entrepreneurship from a practical perspective.

Desde primera hora de la mañana, los alumnos trabajaron en equipos formados por estudiantes de distintos centros de FP y de diferentes especialidades, como informática, ventas y marketing. El reto consistía en desarrollar una idea de negocio, darle forma, construir su identidad de marca y preparar una propuesta capaz de convencer a posibles inversores. La actividad estuvo guiada por Yolanda del Moral, ingeniera informática y emprendedora, que acompañó a los equipos durante el proceso, ayudándoles a transformar sus ideas en propuestas de negocio y a trabajar aspectos fundamentales como la creatividad, la comunicación y la colaboración entre perfiles profesionales diferentes.

From early in the morning, students worked in teams made up of learners from different VET centres and a range of specialisations, including IT, sales and marketing. Their challenge was to develop a business idea, shape it into a viable concept, build its brand identity and prepare a pitch capable of convincing potential investors. The activity was led by Yolanda del Moral, a computer engineer and entrepreneur, who guided the teams throughout the process, helping them turn their ideas into business proposals and develop key skills such as creativity, communication and collaboration between professionals from different backgrounds.

Antes de la comida, también tuvimos la oportunidad de asistir a una mesa redonda con representantes del ámbito de la formación y del emprendimiento de la Comunidad de Madrid, donde se compartieron experiencias y reflexiones sobre los retos y las oportunidades del mundo empresarial.

Before lunch, we also had the opportunity to attend a round-table discussion with representatives from the fields of education and entrepreneurship in the Community of Madrid. They shared their experiences and reflections on the challenges and opportunities of the business world.

La jornada culminó por la tarde con un Shark Tank, en el que los equipos presentaron sus proyectos ante un jurado formado por emprendedores e inversores. Fue el momento de defender sus ideas, demostrar el trabajo realizado y poner a prueba su capacidad para comunicar y convencer.

The day culminated in the afternoon with a Shark Tank-style pitch session, where the teams presented their projects to a panel of entrepreneurs and investors. This was their chance to defend their ideas, showcase the work they had done and put their communication and persuasion skills to the test.

Sin duda, ha sido una experiencia muy enriquecedora para nuestros alumnos. Más allá de los conocimientos técnicos, actividades como esta les permiten desarrollar competencias esenciales para su futuro profesional: iniciativa, creatividad, trabajo en equipo, comunicación y capacidad para convertir una idea en un proyecto real. Una gran oportunidad para aprender haciendo, compartir experiencias con otros estudiantes de FP y descubrir nuevas posibilidades para su futuro profesional.

Without a doubt, this was a highly enriching experience for our students. Beyond technical knowledge, activities like this help them develop essential skills for their future careers, including initiative, creativity, teamwork, communication and the ability to turn an idea into a real project. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn by doing, share experiences with other VET students and discover new possibilities for their professional futures.
