This week, our 4th graders had a very special learning experience as they joined forces with the students from the Intermediate Vocational Training Programme in Exploitation and Conservation of the Natural Environment for the first Primary–Forestry collaboration day. Together, they got to work in our school garden, getting the soil ready for the next stage: planting!
Esta semana, nuestros alumnos de 4º de Primaria han vivido una experiencia de aprendizaje muy especial al unir fuerzas con los alumnos de FP de Grado Medio en Aprovechamiento y Conservación del Medio Natural en la primera jornada de colaboración entre Primaria y Forestales. Juntos se pusieron manos a la obra en nuestro huerto, preparando el suelo para la siguiente fase: ¡plantar!
With the help and guidance of the older students, our 4th-year students discovered how to prepare the ground and saw a rototiller in action. It was a great opportunity to learn from those who are further along in their studies, ask questions and discover first-hand some of the knowledge and skills connected to the world of plants and nature.
Con la ayuda y las explicaciones de los alumnos mayores, nuestros alumnos de 4º descubrieron cómo preparar el terreno y pudieron ver un motocultor en funcionamiento. Fue una estupenda oportunidad para aprender de quienes tienen más experiencia, hacer preguntas y descubrir de primera mano algunos de los conocimientos y habilidades relacionados con el mundo de las plantas y la naturaleza.
This first collaboration is a wonderful example of how learning can go beyond the classroom. Bringing together different ages and areas of knowledge creates meaningful connections and allows students to learn from one another. It is an interdisciplinary experience where science, environmental awareness and practical skills come together in a real-life setting.
Esta primera colaboración es un magnífico ejemplo de cómo el aprendizaje puede ir mucho más allá del aula. Unir a alumnos de diferentes edades y áreas de conocimiento permite crear conexiones muy enriquecedoras y aprender unos de otros. Se trata de una experiencia interdisciplinar en la que la ciencia, el respeto por el medioambiente y las habilidades prácticas se unen en un contexto real.
The soil is now ready, and we cannot wait to see what comes next! This is just the beginning of a collaboration that will give our students many more opportunities to work together, share knowledge and keep learning from each other. We are already looking forward to seeing our school garden grow!
¡El suelo ya está preparado y estamos deseando ver qué viene después! Este es solo el comienzo de una colaboración que ofrecerá a nuestros alumnos muchas más oportunidades para trabajar juntos, compartir conocimientos y seguir aprendiendo unos de otros. ¡Estamos deseando ver crecer nuestro huerto!
